                     FINAL SESSION OF THE 2019 SCHOOL YEAR                         This K-6th grade after school program provides a great opportunity for fun, exercise and discipline. Instructors from the Assembly of Martial Arts Academy will teach students at the elementary schools throughout the school year. (SEPT, NOV, JAN & APR/MAY) Each session consist of SIX classes (*unless noted otherwise*) that meet once a week and lasts for 45 minutes. Students are escorted by the Instructor to the gymnasium for the class which begins immediately after school dismissal. PLEASE NOTE: To ensure your child's participation in the karate club **REGISTRATION closes 2 business days before **the start of the karate club session at each school. NO KARATE registration will be accepted over the phone or after the deadline at the Painter Park office or at any school by office staff. Thank you for your cooperation. First time students who enroll in the program receive a karate club t-shirt & white belt. Children are to wear shirt and belt to the club each week. Students have the opportunity to earn higher level belts (*and an additional belt fee is payable directly to the instructor of the class. **PARENT/GUARDIAN NOTE:  We ask for your cooperation with parent viewing of your child's karate class. We find that children initially become distracted when parents are present. Generally, instructors' will allot 10 mins. for parent viewing at the END of the class - please discuss this with your child's instructor at the karate club dismissal time. PLEASE BE PROMPT when PICKING-UP your child from each schools' gymnasium at the end of the 45 minute class as instructors' have other teaching commitments immediately after your child's session.West Haven children in 5th, 6th, parochial, out of district, or home-schooled are welcomed to join. However, child MUST BE TRANSPORTED to the school of choice main office 15mins. prior to the start of the karate club.

The West Haven Wizards Park Rec. Swim Team has a proud tradition of teamwork, good sportsmanship, community service, and success for over 45 years. Competing throughout the state of Connecticut as members of the Yankee Swim League, the Wizards are dedicated to hard work, the achievement of personal goals set by each swimmer, and having fun. West Haven Parks and Recreation does offer a Payment Plan if you are interested for the Fall Season but you must come into the office to do this. If you are doing the payment plan everything must be paid in full by the first swim meet.  Upon Registration please put half down.  Residents:  $107.50 Non-Residents:  $140.00 per child.  October 4th, & November 1st are the other payment dates.  All Swimmers will be assigned a time on the first night.

Come on down to the Johnson/Noble St. Senior Center on Monday, Wednesday and Friday mornings from 9:30 - 10:30 and join in a variety of stretching, toning and hand weight training exercises led by WHPR staff! Also available for use during the hour are various equipment such as exercise bikes, treadmills, rowing machines and the weight machine circuit. Interested participants must complete and return a medical release form signed by a physician in order to attend. Forms are available at our Painter Park office or by stopping into the exercise room on M, W, or F - please speak with WHPR staff.

Come on down to the Johnson/Noble St. Senior Center on Monday, Wednesday and Friday mornings from 9:30 - 10:30 and join in a variety of stretching, toning and hand weight training exercises led by WHPR staff! Also available for use during the hour are various equipment such as exercise bikes, treadmills, rowing machines and the weight machine circuit. Interested participants must complete and return a medical release form signed by a physician in order to attend.                      FINAL SESSION OF THE 2019 SCHOOL YEAR                         This K-6th grade after school program provides a great opportunity for fun, exercise and discipline. Instructors from the Assembly of Martial Arts Academy will teach students at the elementary schools throughout the school year. (SEPT, NOV, JAN & APR/MAY) Each session consist of SIX classes (*unless noted otherwise*) that meet once a week and lasts for 45 minutes. Students are escorted by the Instructor to the gymnasium for the class which begins immediately after school dismissal. PLEASE NOTE: To ensure your child's participation in the karate club **REGISTRATION closes 2 business days before **the start of the karate club session at each school. NO KARATE registration will be accepted over the phone or after the deadline at the Painter Park office or at any school by office staff. Thank you for your cooperation. First time students who enroll in the program receive a karate club t-shirt & white belt. Children are to wear shirt and belt to the club each week. Competing throughout the state of Connecticut as members of the Yankee Swim League, the Wizards are dedicated to hard work, the achievement of personal goals set by each swimmer, and having fun. West Haven Parks and Recreation does offer a Payment Plan if you are interested for the Fall Season but you must come into the office to do this. If you are doing the payment plan everything must be paid in full by the first swim meet.  Upon Registration please put half down.  Residents:  $107.50 Non-Residents:  $140.00 per child.  October 4th, & November 1st are the other payment dates.  All Swimmers will be assigned a time on the first night.

Please choose only one trial date- thank you for your cooperation.TAI CHI Ch'uan, is an ancient form of Chinese martial arts and other traditional Chinese exercises like Chi Gong that improves one's balance, posture, breathing, immune system, focus, concentration and strengthens muscle groups in the body. Tai Chi exercise is also approved and recommended by the Arthritis Foundation! Class emphasis will focus on the "Five Traditional Chinese Elements" and cleansing exercises associated with these elements that will benefit your overall well being. This exercise program is for all levels, NOVICE-ADVANCE. Your instructor will challenge your ability level. Participants are encouraged to discuss their exercise expectations with the instructor. Exercises are done both seated and standing.Two class times are available - Tuesday afternoons at 1:15pm & Thursday evenings at 6pm. The West Haven Wizards Park Rec. Swim Team has a proud tradition of teamwork, good sportsmanship, community service, and success for over 45 years. Competing throughout the state of Connecticut as members of the Yankee Swim League, the Wizards are dedicated to hard work, the achievement of personal goals set by each swimmer, and having fun. West Haven Parks and Recreation does offer a Payment Plan if you are interested for the Fall Season but you must come into the office to do this. If you are doing the payment plan everything must be paid in full by the first swim meet.  Upon Registration please put half down.  Residents:  $107.50 Non-Residents:  $140.00 per child.  October 4th, & November 1st are the other payment dates.  All Swimmers will be assigned a time on the first night.

Interested participants must complete and return a medical release form signed by a physician in order to attend. Come on down to the Johnson/Noble St. Senior Center on Monday, Wednesday and Friday mornings from 9:30 - 10:30 and join in a variety of stretching, toning and hand weight training exercises led by WHPR staff! Also available for use during the hour are various equipment such as exercise bikes, treadmills, rowing machines and the weight machine circuit. Interested participants must complete and return a medical release form signed by a physician in order to attend. (SEPT, NOV, JAN & APR/MAY) Each session consist of SIX classes (*unless noted otherwise*) that meet once a week and lasts for 45 minutes. Students are escorted by the Instructor to the gymnasium for the class which begins immediately after school dismissal. PLEASE NOTE: To ensure your child's participation in the karate club **REGISTRATION closes 2 business days before **the start of the karate club session at each school. NO KARATE registration will be accepted over the phone or after the deadline at the Painter Park office or at any school by office staff. Thank you for your cooperation. West Haven Parks and Recreation does offer a Payment Plan if you are interested for the Fall Season but you must come into the office to do this. Please choose only one trial date- thank you for your cooperation.TAI CHI Ch'uan, is an ancient form of Chinese martial arts and other traditional Chinese exercises like Chi Gong that improves one's balance, posture, breathing, immune system, focus, concentration and strengthens muscle groups in the body. Tai Chi exercise is also approved and recommended by the Arthritis Foundation! Class emphasis will focus on the "Five Traditional Chinese Elements" and cleansing exercises associated with these elements that will benefit your overall well being. This exercise program is for all levels, NOVICE-ADVANCE. Your instructor will challenge your ability level. The West Haven Wizards Park Rec. Swim Team has a proud tradition of teamwork, good sportsmanship, community service, and success for over 45 years. Competing throughout the state of Connecticut as members of the Yankee Swim League, the Wizards are dedicated to hard work, the achievement of personal goals set by each swimmer, and having fun. West Haven Parks and Recreation does offer a Payment Plan if you are interested for the Fall Season but you must come into the office to do this. If you are doing the payment plan everything must be paid in full by the first swim meet.  Upon Registration please put half down.  Residents:  $107.50 Non-Residents:  $140.00 per child.  October 4th, & November 1st are the other payment dates.  All Swimmers will be assigned a time on the first night.

Come on down to the Johnson/Noble St. Senior Center on Monday, Wednesday and Friday mornings from 9:30 - 10:30 and join in a variety of stretching, toning and hand weight training exercises led by WHPR staff! Also available for use during the hour are various equipment such as exercise bikes, treadmills, rowing machines and the weight machine circuit. Interested participants must complete and return a medical release form signed by a physician in order to attend. Forms are available at our Painter Park office or by stopping into the exercise room on M, W, or F - please speak with WHPR staff.

Instructors from the Assembly of Martial Arts Academy will teach students at the elementary schools throughout the school year. (SEPT, NOV, JAN & APR/MAY) Each session consist of SIX classes (*unless noted otherwise*) that meet once a week and lasts for 45 minutes. Students are escorted by the Instructor to the gymnasium for the class which begins immediately after school dismissal. PLEASE NOTE: To ensure your child's participation in the karate club **REGISTRATION closes 2 business days before **the start of the karate club session at each school. NO KARATE registration will be accepted over the phone or after the deadline at the Painter Park office or at any school by office staff. Thank you for your cooperation. First time students who enroll in the program receive a karate club t-shirt & white belt. Children are to wear shirt and belt to the club each week. Not sure what to expect... please join us for an easy to do trial class with our accomplished instructor, Jonathan Davis on Mar. 5 or 12 at 1:15pm, W.H. Senior Center -Johnson Center -top flr. exercise room or Mar. 7 or 14 at 6pm, Molloy Bldg. Rm. #15. Please choose only one trial date- thank you for your cooperation.TAI CHI Ch'uan, is an ancient form of Chinese martial arts and other traditional Chinese exercises like Chi Gong that improves one's balance, posture, breathing, immune system, focus, concentration and strengthens muscle groups in the body. Tai Chi exercise is also approved and recommended by the Arthritis Foundation! Class emphasis will focus on the "Five Traditional Chinese Elements" and cleansing exercises associated with these elements that will benefit your overall well being. This exercise program is for all levels, NOVICE-ADVANCE. Your instructor will challenge your ability level. Participants are encouraged to discuss their exercise expectations with the instructor. Exercises are done both seated and standing.Two class times are available - Tuesday afternoons at 1:15pm & Thursday evenings at 6pm. Instructors from the Assembly of Martial Arts Academy will teach students at the elementary schools throughout the school year. (SEPT, NOV, JAN & APR/MAY) Each session consist of SIX classes (*unless noted otherwise*) that meet once a week and lasts for 45 minutes. Students are escorted by the Instructor to the gymnasium for the class which begins immediately after school dismissal. PLEASE NOTE: To ensure your child's participation in the karate club **REGISTRATION closes 2 business days before **the start of the karate club session at each school. NO KARATE registration will be accepted over the phone or after the deadline at the Painter Park office or at any school by office staff. Thank you for your cooperation. First time students who enroll in the program receive a karate club t-shirt & white belt. Children are to wear shirt and belt to the club each week. Students have the opportunity to earn higher level belts (*and an additional belt fee is payable directly to the instructor of the class. **PARENT/GUARDIAN NOTE:  We ask for your cooperation with parent viewing of your child's karate class. We find that children initially become distracted when parents are present. Generally, instructors' will allot 10 mins. for parent viewing at the END of the class - please discuss this with your child's instructor at the karate club dismissal time. PLEASE BE PROMPT when PICKING-UP your child from each schools' gymnasium at the end of the 45 minute class as instructors' have other teaching commitments immediately after your child's session.West Haven children in 5th, 6th, parochial, out of district, or home-schooled are welcomed to join. However, child MUST BE TRANSPORTED to the school of choice main office 15mins. prior to the start of the karate club.

The West Haven Wizards Park Rec. Swim Team has a proud tradition of teamwork, good sportsmanship, community service, and success for over 45 years. Competing throughout the state of Connecticut as members of the Yankee Swim League, the Wizards are dedicated to hard work, the achievement of personal goals set by each swimmer, and having fun. West Haven Parks and Recreation does offer a Payment Plan if you are interested for the Fall Season but you must come into the office to do this. If you are doing the payment plan everything must be paid in full by the first swim meet.  Upon Registration please put half down.  Residents:  $107.50 Non-Residents:  $140.00 per child.  October 4th, & November 1st are the other payment dates.  All Swimmers will be assigned a time on the first night.

Also available for use during the hour are various equipment such as exercise bikes, treadmills, rowing machines and the weight machine circuit. Interested participants must complete and return a medical release form signed by a physician in order to attend. Also available for use during the hour are various equipment such as exercise bikes, treadmills, rowing machines and the weight machine circuit. Interested participants must complete and return a medical release form signed by a physician in order to attend.                      FINAL SESSION OF THE 2019 SCHOOL YEAR                         This K-6th grade after school program provides a great opportunity for fun, exercise and discipline. Instructors from the Assembly of Martial Arts Academy will teach students at the elementary schools throughout the school year. (SEPT, NOV, JAN & APR/MAY) Each session consist of SIX classes (*unless noted otherwise*) that meet once a week and lasts for 45 minutes. Students are escorted by the Instructor to the gymnasium for the class which begins immediately after school dismissal. PLEASE NOTE: To ensure your child's participation in the karate club **REGISTRATION closes 2 business days before **the start of the karate club session at each school. NO KARATE registration will be accepted over the phone or after the deadline at the Painter Park office or at any school by office staff. Thank you for your cooperation. First time students who enroll in the program receive a karate club t-shirt & white belt. Children are to wear shirt and belt to the club each week. Students have the opportunity to earn higher level belts (*and an additional belt fee is payable directly to the instructor of the class. **PARENT/GUARDIAN NOTE:  We ask for your cooperation with parent viewing of your child's karate class. We find that children initially become distracted when parents are present. Generally, instructors' will allot 10 mins. for parent viewing at the END of the class - please discuss this with your child's instructor at the karate club dismissal time. PLEASE BE PROMPT when PICKING-UP your child from each schools' gymnasium at the end of the 45 minute class as instructors' have other teaching commitments immediately after your child's session.West Haven children in 5th, 6th, parochial, out of district, or home-schooled are welcomed to join. West Haven Parks and Recreation does offer a Payment Plan if you are interested for the Fall Season but you must come into the office to do this. Senior Center -Johnson Center -top flr. exercise room or Mar. 7 or 14 at 6pm, Molloy Bldg. Rm. #15. Please choose only one trial date- thank you for your cooperation.TAI CHI Ch'uan, is an ancient form of Chinese martial arts and other traditional Chinese exercises like Chi Gong that improves one's balance, posture, breathing, immune system, focus, concentration and strengthens muscle groups in the body. Tai Chi exercise is also approved and recommended by the Arthritis Foundation! Class emphasis will focus on the "Five Traditional Chinese Elements" and cleansing exercises associated with these elements that will benefit your overall well being. This exercise program is for all levels, NOVICE-ADVANCE. Your instructor will challenge your ability level. Participants are encouraged to discuss their exercise expectations with the instructor. Exercises are done both seated and standing.Two class times are available - Tuesday afternoons at 1:15pm & Thursday evenings at 6pm. The West Haven Wizards Park Rec. Swim Team has a proud tradition of teamwork, good sportsmanship, community service, and success for over 45 years. Competing throughout the state of Connecticut as members of the Yankee Swim League, the Wizards are dedicated to hard work, the achievement of personal goals set by each swimmer, and having fun. West Haven Parks and Recreation does offer a Payment Plan if you are interested for the Fall Season but you must come into the office to do this. If you are doing the payment plan everything must be paid in full by the first swim meet.  Upon Registration please put half down.  Residents:  $107.50 Non-Residents:  $140.00 per child.  October 4th, & November 1st are the other payment dates.  All Swimmers will be assigned a time on the first night.
